Depends on the public lands. It's perfectly legal to camp on a lot of BLM, Forest Service and some state lands. Usually with a set time limit (2 weeks is typical). We do it all the time backcountry camping off motorcycles, and hunting.
LOL, of course, I was talking about La Cienega Blvd and a million other places.
Huge amounts of money being spent on migrants coming into the country and given to foreign countries versus folks already here. Pretty easy solution.
Oh, they don't want to talk about that! They never want to talk about that! Billions spent on illegal aliens could be caring first for our own citizens!
Also:
How many have looked at photos or videos of these "camping" individuals? If not, I suggest you start there and see why it must stop. Google "Tennesse homeless on public lands."
Do you want them in front of your house? Suggesting CA? Have you seen the photos and videos of the homeless there? Do you want them in front of your business?
They are ruining the public lands. You want them to have help? Write/call your federal and state representatives and express your rage at helping illegal aliens, while our citizens live in filth on the streets. Tell them you want those billions used for the homeless.
Also, anyone who thinks the homeless is a simple issue of getting them "on their feet", doesn't have a clue how complicated the issue is. If you haven't seen these "Interesting" people interviewed on camera, you should really take a look at that.
Another thing, some of these homeless could be doing those jobs that illegal aliens are doing as illegal aliens have displaced a lot of lesser educated in the workplace!
We can no longer put the mentally ill that cannot take care of themselves in institutions, because some group decided for their right to be free from that. Far too many people want all drugs to be legal, and many of these are drug addicts on the street, and how do you think they support their habits?
City of Knoxville has a protocol for the homeless:
Well, without taking ALL public lands into account your statement is false.
The tone of the OP I assumed was homeless people lying in their own filth in tents, shooting up dope, crapping in the streets, jerking off in public.
When you hear the words "homeless" and "public lands" most people's minds probably don't immediately go and think of Yellowstone park and or places of that ilk where "camping" is permitted.

With few exceptions, camping is allowed on many lands besides national parks. Out west, there is so much BLM and national forest lands where you can camp you'd have a hard time finding anyplace where camping ISN'T allowed. As a boondocker, my mind goes to a different place then yours when I hear the word "camping". I think the distinction should be made.

LOL, You know what the OP was talking about. Politicians and others use the word "camping" frequently these days when describing the homeless. They use that term a lot because it's sounds less nasty than saying bums sleeping on the streets.
Homelessness is an epidemic in the country right now.
Whatever, I've said my piece and I'm bored now.
