Any attempt to crack down on guns will lead to MORE violence (weapons, deaths)

They really don't have much of a chance to crack down on guns. Many anti-gun laws have been overturned, states have overwhelmingly passed CCW laws and pro gun rights politicians continue to be elected. There is no feasible pathway to repeal the 2nd amendment.
The bottom line.
On top of all that, electoral history shows quite clearly that you can make the occasional stump speech in the emotionally charged moment, like right now immediately following a tragic event, but when the legit campaign starts, you'd better pipe down, because anti-gun is a pretty surefire loser of a platform most of the time.
Feinstein gets away with it because it is her particular schtick, but she is one of the few who doesn't get straight run for having an anti-freedom platform.
So they'll bleat and babble a bit right now, but they'll happily quiet down no problem in the next couple weeks, because an election is coming and if they are too hardcore hysterically anti-gun....they'll get bounced and they know it.
Having gun might be cool to some. But you are disturbed if losing an assault weapon is reason to kill and maim.
The 2A is antiquated anyway. You obviously aren’t allowed to bear any and all “arms” your heart desires. Any weapon explicitly designed for mass killing should be banned, imo.
Places with the strictest gun laws (Chicago for example) have high crime rates, and places that require gun ownership (Kennesaw GA for example) have low crime rates.
Right. This is a good example of someone that should not own a firearm. I'm hoping he is at least on a DHS or FBI watchlist. Shiver.
Okay, I'm game.
In the what he did a few days ago, sure.......but say last week and before. What was he doing that said he should not own a gun? What do you want to throw on the table that says if a person is doing this, burn them?
Did that happen with the Assault Weapons Ban of '94? Deaths did increase markedly after it was allowed to expire...
The "ban" banned nothing. It was based on looks not function. I could have taken a muzzleloader, added a few black accessories and it would have been illegal under the ban.

The AR is a good hunting weapon. It is NOT an M 16

Gun homicides did increase in recent years, but there is no evidence that the "Assault Weapons Ban" itself had any effect on that, inasmuch as such weapons are actually rarely used in criminal homicides. It would be like the effect on air pollution of banning 12-cylinder automobile engines.
First go to the drug gangs, ms-13, latin kings, breed, bloods, crips, netas, GTO. they do most of the killing. After you take their guns, check out the dramatic murder rate drop.
Any guns laws passed, have an exclusion clause for these gangs. Exclusion laws for the most violent who rack up the greatest kill, wound and main numbers. Why bother with useless laws that would not have prevented the latest murders?
Closing the border would help but as nancy pelosi corrected Trump, "these are not animals, they are humans".
