So a person who can't cross state lines for an abortion, can all of a sudden afford to get a passport or travel to Canada? Great logic there Justin.
Which taxpayers will be paying for these round trips? Canadians?
Mexico is a lot closer for those in Texas and I'll bet there's Abortion Doctors down there just waiting for their first customer.
If you live in El Paso, you only need to walk across the Border and there's pharmacies with abortion pills.
San Diego also has it too easy, a light rail train from downtown takes you right to the Border, 14 miles away, and even in Tucson, there's Mexican van service that operates all day long between Tucson/Phoenix and Nogales.
Rich people can just go to Europe. We're one of the few countries backwards enough to have banned abortion.
If I were of childbearing age I could get an abortion under the NHS because I am covered over there. So for people with the money, it's not too much of a problem. Unless the Republicans start banning international travel. You never know.
"All non-immigrant, non-U.S. citizen air travelers to the United States must be fully vaccinated and provide proof of vaccination status prior to boarding an airplane to the United States. In addition, fully vaccinated foreign nationals may also enter the United States at land ports of entry (POE) and ferry terminals."
Thanks, I was going to post something similar, but I figured no one can be stupid enough to not know that so they were just, you know, doing that thing.
I could be wrong about the stupidity part, though.

It's not easy winnowing out the wheat from the chaff while engaging on the internet. The facts are both countries have more than an ample share of "stupid" and it seems to be worsening.
Not sure why you only mention New York when 13 states border Canada, but anyway, the only ones banning total abortion are Ohio and Alaska. Michigan, North Dakota, New York, and Idaho ban late-term.
Ohio did not totally ban abortion.
The state had the judicial stay on its version of Texas' heartbeat law removed, and now Ohio functions (or will sometime in September, iirc?) almost exactly like Texas - once you hear a heartbeat, only medical emergency can override the ban on killing an unborn with a heartbeat.
Morning after still legal. Abortifacient pills still legal, under I think a 10 week window?
So you can still get an abortion in Ohio. You just have to do it while inside the liberal window of "not a human life yet."
If you count the members of the Canadian Snowbird Association who are ensured by the 1984 Health statute internationally along with the estimated 369,000 according to the Torontosun then the amount of Canadians going outside the country for health related reasons reaches up to nearly 500,000 people. How much is Canada's population? 38 million? I think that comes out to 1.26% of their population leaving their country; that's assuming the 369,000 doesn't include snowbirds.
The highest estimate I've read for Americans who do that is 780,000 back in 2019; 0.2% of the population in other words. Keep in mind the USA's population is roughly ten times Canada's.

Ok, I was going by the table in the Wiki article. Thanks for the correction.
