Frankly, I appreciate some moderating. But that's off topic, too.

To the person upthread who said (paraphrasing) "it's OK to drive an SUV if you need it for work", that's just the point! Who know why anyone is driving an SUV? It's not up to anyone else to judge b/c we don't usually know the whole story.

Unless she's an incredibly poor student, you're going to need that car what,
8 times?

Talk about grasping at straws.

That was uncalled for. And I said, earlier, I was just giving ONE example of the usefulness of a MINI-SUv.

I lived in Illinois and went to school in Kentucky. If you think a person things they need to live on from August to May is enough to fit into one car you obviously have no idea. Unless of course you make repeated trips with a car which uses up gas anyway.

this is my definition of a patriot. you have to watch the video to the end to understand my reasoning

Behind the Scenes: 'Hypermilers' test limits of fuel conservation - CNN.com

yes we can drill anwr, but for some reason and it may be strategic, they aren't!

in the meantime, and it takes a bit of effort:

"ask not what your country can do for you, .......!"

Tell it to the Secret Service... SUV's are their vehicle of choice...

Hardly sounds treasonous to drive the same vehicle Heads of State and Government Leaders from around the world use for protection
