And unlike the senate which waived covid procedures for in person voting Pelosi allowed proxy voting so 158 congress people let someone else vote for them. 158 people didn't want to be held accountable for their vote?
President Joe Biden signed into law Tuesday a major Democratic spending bill that seeks to fight climate change, raise taxes on corporations and expand health care coverage.
The bill, dubbed the Inflation Reduction Act, is a major legislative achievement for Democrats ahead of the midterm elections. It passed the House and the Senate last week with the support of every Democrat and no Republicans.
“With this law, the American people won, and the special interests lost,” Biden said in remarks from the White House. “We didn’t tear down; we built up. We didn’t look back; we looked forward. And today offers further proof that the soul of America is vibrant.”
Yes, the President took AF1 and the associated entourage back to Washington from South Carolina to make a show of signing the bill. Quite a carbon impact. For someone so concerned about the climate ....

"I couldn't be more bullish on the steel industry, and I couldn't be more bullish on United States Steel," CEO David Burritt said Friday in a Bloomberg interview, after the company posted Q2 adjusted earnings that topped estimates.
A big reason is the Inflation Reduction Act, which Burritt said should be called the "Manufacturing Renaissance Act," because it is "the most incredible thing we've seen in the United States for a very long time. It's fantastic to see that our country finally recognizes how important a strong manufacturing base is."
Maybe they should call it, "Baby Build Back Better." Would be a much better name than “The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022,” which is a really boring name. That way you could call it "Biden's Baby Build Back Better," or "Quintuple-B" for short!
Presuming it passes the hurtles listed in the article, and presuming Joe Manchin doesn't change his mind at the last minute (again!), this would mean . . . . . . . the Socialist Utopia is at hand!
I like Baby Build Back Better, or B4. As in "put things back the way they were B4 Oatmeal was in the Oval".
