Several months ago, a black guy pushed an older Asian woman onto the tracks in the NYC subway. Video accompanied the story. Later the full video was released. It showed the black guy originally targeted a non- Asian woman. His behaviors made her wary and she moved down the platform. The Asian lady was oblivious and became the alternate choice.
My point here is that vulnerability may be more of a factor than ethnicity in some situations.

The other studies are nonscientific "surveys" done online where Asians (or anyone) can self-report incidents ranging from actual crimes and verbal abuse to perceived slights and "microaggressions".
There is nothing stopping liberal advocates from gaming these "studies" to get the desired result.
To imply that 3/4ths of the violent street assaults, home invasion and store robberies against Asians are being committed by whites is uninformed at best, but more likely an intentional distortion.

Asians living in a city like San Francisco know the score. Black hate crimes against Asians in SF have been going on for years. To suggest 3/4 of the hate crimes against them are committed by Whites is ludicrous.
The only thing new is such assaults are now being captured on video.

The irony is that San Francisco's Black population has been dropping both in percentage and numbers. Same goes for the rest of the Bay Area.

I believe San Francisco closed two large public housing projects which were predominately Black during the 80's. At which time many who lived there moved across the Bay Bridge into Oakland and the surrounding areas.
I grew up in S.F. at a time when random assaults/robberies esp. on public transportation were common. There's a reason Muni bus drivers stopped providing change for passengers. And the reason is drivers were getting robbed.
S.F. was a much cleaner and a prettier city during the late 60's and 70's but it was also far more dangerous.

It's not just San Francisco losing Black people. Oakland, Berkeley, San Jose, pretty much the Bay Area as a whole is losing its Black population. My point is this. If the solution is to gentrify Blacks out of the Bay Area, I don't see that working. I notice out of the middle and upper middle classes making their home in the Bay Area, the Black middle class doesn't seem nearly as likely to do so. Why do I bring this up?
The behavior you describe, the violent we're hearing about, this is UNDERCLASS behavior. My theory is this. Wherever you have a larger than average proportion of the Black population within the underclass, alot of crime comes with that, as well as many hateful, angry individuals. This is an UNDERCLASS issue. My theory is that San Francisco's Black population, even after the projects got torn down, has a larger than average underclass.
More Blacks are leaving California than moving to California. Many Blacks who have left California have gone to Arizona, Texas, Nevada, Georgia, etc.
We can lock up criminals all we want. We can tear down housing projects. However, there are other issues that many people won't look at.
