Written communication is inherently difficult and I even thought to myself that you might think I was disagreeing with you, I should have prefaced that up front.
I think anyone that is not a complete raging partisan can clearly recognize that we have a for profit media that due to the computer age is under financial pressures not unlike the print media wars of 100+ years ago.
That financial pressure has lead to a decrease in quality and an increase in crafting of news for target groups.
Rather than call it Yellow Journalism 2 Electric Boogaloo, I just call it the Porcelain era of journalism.
This was not just drunk driving. Alcohol doesn't manufacture thoughts and emotion. It doesn't manufacture a plan of action it lowers inhibition allowing the drunk to act on existing thoughts, emotions or opinions. Deep down this suspect did what he wanted to do. This was not an oops by a drunk.
Riddle me this. So according to the Dems you can purposely get in your SUV, chase someone down, run them over and it is NOT First Degree Murder?

The blatant double standard is one of the ways they try to demoralize you. They do it right in front of your face so you know even if you're right there's not a damn thing you can do about it.
