How do the wrong politicians keep getting voted in? This country seems to be going down faster than the Hindenburg. Either there is in fact some deep-seeded election corruption, or people really are that dense.

Most Dem voters are not even attempting to solve any of the problems you listed with their votes...solutions do not enter their minds...its all emotions, and protecting their hive from "bad extremeists" like Trump, & Jan 6 protesters.

Their minds do not function based upon logic, they function almost totally upon emotions.

Their emotions are manipulated by the media, politicians, & even many educators.

The thought processes between the Reds and Blue's are almost polar opposites, & there's no reconciling them...they are near primal instincts, that have been engrained, or otherwise shaped by corrupt manipulalors out to score Millions for themselves.

How to move the country forward given the massive differences in the way each side views things, is the question I wrestle with often.

Too many issues and ways to get voted in or installed.

It comes down the average voter who does not pay attention to politics the way we do on social media or forums like this. They are single issue voters even if their 'issue' is to go with the flow ie candidate like Fetterman.

They just assume many things are cyclical and will write them off. They don't even try to connect the dots or understand how things work.

Why do crime ridden cities with dying economies and fleeing populations, have die hard Democrat voters who still keep voting for nothing but Democrats to run their cities, decade after decade?

Yep. Those who can sit in their gated fortresses on the hill and watch the serfs suffer, knowing that the more they suffer, the more a certain segment will support them. It's a sort of "battered housewife syndrome" thing... Yes, I know he beats me to a pulp, but he loves me. Now excuse me, I have to go fix dinner before I get another black eye.

It's because the Dems promise to keep the welfare checks flowing to them in exchange for their votes. This is what we call "ballot cattle". The Dem bosses don't want them to ever become capable of earning a decent living on their own and becoming a taxpayer or else they would lose them from the "herd".

COVID killed off a number of loyal Republican voters the last two years. Many consider that to be a reason some Republicans lost races. Others it was running Trump Republicans. In Arizona out of the five races (Governor, US Senate, Secretary of State, Attorney General and Secretary of Education) the Republican Party only won one of the two races in an automatic recount. Then you also have abortion and the Paul Pelosi attack. The fact is the economy wasn't the only thing on the ballot like it was say in 1992.

A government is a reflection of its people. They vote for free stuff and don't care what the politicians do

The institutional mechanisms put in place that saw continuous ballot dumps which seem to seem to come packaged overwhelmingly for Democratic candidates has remained in place and even expanded upon in a number of key districts throughout the country. It would be similar to the Republicans blunting the counteractive response of voters during the 1930 midterms as the Great Depression was ratcheting up because Americans collectively bask in socioeconomic masochism.
