lots of posters here were hoping he'd run for president not so long ago
Suspended attorney Michael Avenatti was sentenced on Monday to 14 years in federal prison for defrauding his clients out of millions of dollars and for obstructing the IRS, the office of the U.S. attorney for Los Angeles said.
Avenatti, who pleaded guilty to four counts of wire fraud and a count of obstruction this summer, was also ordered to pay nearly $11 million back to four of his clients and the IRS.
Posters here were saying he was going to be the next President.
The fact that anyone thought that is ridiculous, and that so many did is a testament to the manipulative power of the media.
I think the internet & social media, and the general lack of in-person interactions specifically, has completely destroyed people's ability to interpret body language. I don't understand how anyone could watch that guy speak during an interview or something and not immediately recognize that there's something untrustworthy about him.
He's a scumbag and gets what he deserves. He was screwing his clients out of money. People in wheelchairs and other major problems and this guy is skimming off of their proceeds, as I understand it.
Taking advantage of people with disabilities is pretty damn low in my opinion.

Their hopes and dreams of voting for him aren't dashed. Even imprisoned he would still have the legal right to run for president and they can, and probably would, vote for him.

I wish I could say you were wrong regarding the bolded part. Unfortunately, you're not wrong. Just look at Biden and Fetterman, along with all the other racists and morons with (D)s after their names in Congress.

Other than his flash in the pan moments when he stepped up to represent Stormy Daniels I don't think people have given him a moments notice. But you keep acting like the left owns him because he created an embarrassment for Trump so the right can't own him....
