shhhh! you aren’t supposed to talk about those types of things. Liberals stand in solidarity with certain noble and righteous religions. Christianity is on the “bad” list
Most liberals are Christian, where do you get this stuff.
I was listening to conservative talk radio yesterday afternoon, and they were having a very difficult time with this, seeing as they all believe a business should be able to run their stores the way they want.
The best they could come up with, is in the future this restaurant should vet the agency before booking them, and that cancelling them an hour and a half before the event was unprofessional.
At least they're consistent.
And correct. Doing it 90 minutes before is extremely unprofessional.

Indeed. Not to mention Christian principles themselves being rather liberal. Not the twisted prosperity gospel nonsense the religious right is so tied up with.

They didn't introduce themselves as gay-haters when they made the reservation, the servers figured it out the day-of and refused to serve them. They should've made the reservation under "we don't think your servers deserve rights" and they would've gotten a more prompt answer.
all businesses need to have signs of who they will serve. be specific. i will take my business to those businesses who want me and my family's money.
I think most businesses would refuse business from people who want to strip their rights away? So basically I guess you want to attend businesses of the "right sorts" who you feel deserve human rights.

Except, of course, liberal Christians who recognize that their church's traditional writings about human sexuality were based on ancient tribal traditions that promoted high birth rates in order to maintain their strength in numbers.
If a person is refused service because they are __________ (put the word "gay" or "Christian" or whatever), then that is a violation of the law. period.
If a person/group wants to hold an event at a place of business and that place of business opposes that ideology/lifestyle or whatever, and they refuse to participate, then that is a just and correct practice. period.
No issues here at all.
Just like no issue when a baker doesnt want to make a cake for a gay wedding or Bruce Springstein not wanting his music played at a conservative political rally.
Not difficult or something but what does it have to do with doing business?
It's the difference between turning someone away for being in a wheelchair and truning someone away for not wearing a shirt. We frown on the first, not the second.

Cancelling the booking on discriminatory grounds - which this - can only cause those involved to double down in their resolve. So what has been gained?
It's not about the bigots. They're likely to be lost causes. It's about respecting your staff.

As for making their staff feel uncomfortable .... why even mention to them what this group represents? Beside, they should take a concrete pill and harden up. Lose the snowflake thing.
Taking care of staff is - or should be - part of a business owner's concerns. "Go wait on those people who want to take away your rights, snowflake!" isn't how you retain good staff.

Then again, why would that group be concerning themselves with other people's business?
The "Christian" bigots? I have no idea what drives them. They're weird.

They should be happy they weren't discovered after being seated. It's always a bad idea to demonstrate contempt towards those who handle your food. Always.
