2.) Why is your child learning history a bad thing?
1. This has been asked and answered dozens of times and for years. To the point most left-leaners don't even attempt the deflection any longer.

A. Here goes for about the 100th time. One of the key tenants of CRT is the direct claim that anytime black kids underperform academically anywhere throughout K-12 long standing structural and US + white inspired racism is the cause. Never mind that black kids lag white and Asian kids academically across the world.

A1. Derivative of all of this is the hard push from the left to limit gifted and talented programs, soften math requirements etc.

2. An incisive dive into history is great. However, another key facet of CRT is bending history through story telling even counterfactual story telling. Probably the best example of this is the outright lie perpetrated by many teachers and profs. on the left that white Europeans, "taught" American Indians about/how to scalp others. Google it - it has taken years for lying searches to fall from the top couple of pages but they are still there. You'll find all sort of claims that whitey brought scalping to America in the 1600 and 1700s. The facts, however, prove otherwise. Take, "The Crow Creek Massacre".......around 1325AD hundreds of AIs were starved out, raped, enslaved and/or scalped by other AIs long before whites showed up. Several other historical examples the pre-date Crow Creek as well.

In our district, we had a 3some of far far right wing candidates, funded heavily by a right wing PAC, and it's a damn good thing my community is alert. In general, this county is conservative, but not right wing fanaticals.

One of the 3 candidates they were trying to shove through actually had been a teacher, and had married one of his high school students in a foreign country. Brought her here, they had a kid, abused the child so badly the child was taken away and they had their rights permanently revoked.

Thank the good lord he lost his bid for school board as did his two cohorts. Recently spotted hanging around outside middle schools with large placards, there are only two genders and you are going to hell.

So. For those who think teachers trying to welcome confused students who need support is the end of the world, think about this yahoo and why the right was trying to hard to seat him on our school board.
So you weren't REALLY interested in what is going on. Just looking for a way to discredit. I can tell you from experience the far right wing people are not nearly as angry and hostile as the left. And what does 'far right wing' even mean? I can tell you. It means people who won't cave to the socialist agenda.

We tried to run conservative candidates and got our a$$es handed to us as expected. But it's what's going on in the RED district that surprised me.

When we toured the new district, we asked if there was CRT and all of that. No, no. We don't do that. They DO do that.

As I was loosely following the school board election, I read about some disturbing stuff in a letter to the editor including accusations of CRT and so forth. So, I happened to be a women's event where they hosted the school board candidates. As I dug more and more, I found out what was REALLY going on. Yes, all the principals had been trained in a version of CRT. They use little word gimmicks to say it's not CRT. CRT is the Harvard course so of course they aren't using THAT. But, I found out the program and researched it and yes, same thing.

Then, upon further digging, I got a book list. Yep, Gender Q____ was on it. Talked to the incumbent school board candidate who lied about all of it to my face. We have a teacher who is a active member of GLSEN, which you are seeing all over the news lately. They have a LGBTq club and even host protests AT school ON SCHOOL time using district emails.

So what I have also learned is that the people going all over social media and defending this stuff are often teachers/administrators, etc. I now go to the school board meetings and they show up and defend all the safe spaces and push all of this stuff.

I am in the local 'mom's FB groups'. I posted my opinion about the school board election and I was viscously attacked. So through this process, I figured out that many of the bullies are people who have a vested interest in this stuff.

People come in the local groups and anonymously ask if there is CRT or gender ideology in our district. The usual people circle the wagons and say no. You can't PM them because they post anonymously. I say well, not so true and they attack me. And I know it for a fact and I have plenty of evidence. I am not posting it on that site to protect my child in the district.

SO, that's what's really going on.

Can you give us some specific examples of the "CRT" that's being taught?

I'm very interested in what's going on in your district, truthfully, Grlzrl, and that's why I asked more than once.

I am sensitive to the fact that you've stated you don't want to give details, so I get that.

I also wanted to state the OTHER side of your story, since continuing to talk about your story wasn't going to go anywhere.

If you'd like to elaborate more on what you're objecting to in that slide show, I'm truly interested in that. Because I'm middle of the road, and very interested in the welfare of children, and our education system.

I'll tell you what "far right wing" means in my world. It means a man who will creep around a middle school carrying signs that say they're going to hell.

Yep. Their solution? Just shut up and send your kids to private school while still paying the tens of thousands in school taxes each year to subsidize their far left agenda.

False. "Far right wing" is anyone to the right of Marx in the left's world.

Because 1 in 4 kids are identifying now and that vastly exceeds the rate in the general population. Those confused kids can have very dire outcomes as a result of surgery and chemical castration.

I know you aren't interested in real answers. I know the usual people come in here and try to attack me. I don't care. I know who the people doing this are now. And it's often teachers/administrators. I would love it if people would identify themselves as being either of those is they are. But that would give up the ruse.

Another thought, if I may?

Elect school board members that reflect your philosophies as a community, and involve yourself in the classroom. School boards are elected.

It also is difficult to find concrete examples to share in the first place, partially bc the teachers are good at covering their tracks, partially bc these things are discussed at local school board meetings and in person where there is no real evidence, and partially bc the districts do not make their curriculum choices public in all cases. I was recently looking for some examples of what is typically covered in the high school English classes and found very few documents online with scope and sequence or syllabus or even a reading list.
I have told this story before on here but my kid had a two credit social studies/English class in the blue district. I asked for a syllabus on parent night and they said we don't have one. The curriculum will be 'student guided'. I knew then it was BS. They spent an entire semester (equal to one year) talking about nothing but racism and slavery. The goal was obvious.
