Listening to the radio yesterday the topic was how America is no longer #1 but #3 for falling behind India and China.

I liked being #1, I don't want to be #3. OK I swallowed the Clinton kool aid when it came to lifting these Countries up to improve living conditions for the Indians and Chinese, I guess I missed the part where he mentioned in helping these Countries we'd be selling out the US in the long run.

My hope is that with the price of oil that manufacturing will once again be a viable industry in the USA, Americans can get back to work at jobs other then service jobs and white collar positions.

If there was ever a time to Buy American, it is today.

Have you ever been to India or China? It doesn't matter how fast their economy is growing. The disparity between rich and poor is enormous compare to what any American complains about here. And you know how they say that about two billion people live on a dollar a day? Well about a half of those are in India and China. So there is no way that India or China will overtake the USA.

casper the manufacturing "boat" left the the US dock decades ago so don't expect it to come back anytime soon. It's called the Rust belt for a reason.
