Texas is the new california (unfortunately). I think we'll manage to hold on to our rugged individualism longer though. We've certainly got the heritage and the pride to do so. Alaska is probably the final frontier. If things continue the way they are, I just may move up to Montana or Alaska to get away from all of these yuppies who are slowly destroying this state.

Do you know that we have (4) American Cities ranked as Alpha World Class Cities but only one of the states has more than one and that state is California......And No other "Country has more than (1)Paris...France/
London.......UK/Tokyo...Japan/NYC..New York/Chicago...ILL.
and last but not least CALIFORNIA...LOS ANGELES CALIFORNIA..SAN FRANCISCO CALIFORNIA......now you see how far California can afford to fall and be in decline before it become like any other STATE.......San Francisco was a BETA 9th Level city on the 1999 Ranking , but will be Bumped Up To Level 10th Alpha Ranking on the upcoming Rankings....

If you like your state good for you.
I still would be quite happy if it had no effect on the rest of the USA,because it seems a lot of the bad ideas our society is afflicted with originate in CA.

You might find this interesting. When I was in school in California, I took a class called "California State Government". In that class, the instructor proclaimed that California "leads the way" on policy and evolution of proper government, that it teaches the other states on what is best.
I found it rather amusing, and well... highly arrogant.
