Not really. Forbes recently rated Oklahoma City as the most recession resistant city in America. And unlike Michigan, Oklahoma has gas and oil industry doing well.

Even though political attitudes in Oklahoma have become less backward and uptight since 2000, those attitudes in Oklahoma are making the state suffer more than its economy.

Ok heres the scoop........Straight from my senator.
Yes the HOUSE did pass the joint resolution in response to the increasing mandates coming down from on high it was aimed at the feds but more importantly it was aimed at our federal legislative group to stop going along with the federal plan.
Bottom line.....it was sent to the senate committee on what ever the heck committee it was and it did not pass out of committee so it cant come back for a year.
OK folks thats the story......move along now nothing more to see here.....lol
sorry I always wanted to say that...........

Miserable MOD CUT. What kind of senator could look the people of Oklahoma in the eye after selling out his state like that?

Seeing as Oklahoma wouldn't even exist except by the actions of the Federal government......if the people there hate the Feds so much we can always give the place back to the displaced eastern Indians and Comanches.

I believe quite a lot of the people of Oklahoma ARE Indians....hard to 'give it back' when they are already living there.
