LOS ANGELES (AFP) - California's economy is poised for a multi-million-dollar windfall as same-sex marriages get underway here Monday, with the tourist sector eyeing a bonanza as gays and lesbians flock to the state to tie the knot.
It's amazing, even human relationships get reduced to $$$ and cents! I think that I'll have to re-read the "Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire" because this is just a perversion of human genetics! I feel like I'm experiencing an episode of the "Twilight Zone"!

If you still remember the "Twilight Zone" then your age & likely social isolation are showing

Seems to me that one more factor has been added to the wedding economy. This helps the economy, right? You shouldn't have a problem w/this.

It couldn't come at a better time since the summer tourist season coupled with gays from all over the world will really help out in a serious economy. The mayor of Palm Springs has declared his city a gay mecca for marriages but I think many will prefer a cooler climate like San Francisco and Los Angeles or San Diego. The major cities have increased the # of clerks to handle the sheer numbers. Orange county is giving appointment times.
