George W.'s War
George W.'s War
(As the war entered its fourth year, the public began to grow weary of the conflict and the casualties. George W.'s popularity plummeted. Yet through it all, he stood firm, supporting the troops and endorsing the struggle.
............
Then, in the unlikeliest of circumstances and perhaps the most historic example of military luck, the enemy blundered and was resoundingly defeated. After six long years of war, the Commander in Chief basked in a most hard-fought victory.)

Yeah, I'd tend to agree with that one. I had naive notions of happiness and altruism when I was about 15. Being a bit older, educated in many other areas of life and experiences (and more importantly, history!), I would be embarrassed to peddle that type of propaganda irregardless of my audience.
OP: Please don't embarrass yourself by posting this sort of nonsense.

Oh yeah....Some improvement!
In the world’s most violent country, 167 civilians were killed last week -3 of them children- 18 by US forces. On May 21st alone US forces killed 16 Iraqi civilians in two incidents; 2 of the victims were children.
Over 5,500 civilians have been reported killed in the first 5 months of 2008 and twice as many injured. More will be added to both lists –the dead and the wounded- tomorrow and the day after and every day: each death and each injury adding a little more to the suffering of a nation, a little more hurt to those already hurting.

That is without a doubt the biggest fantasy crap that I have ever read. It should read like this:
Dubya will go down as the village idiot, and the worst president in the history of this country. He lied to go to war. The bumbling, babbling, bungling idiot thought it was just to attempt to defeat an ideology with bigger guns. The ideology prevailed. In order to give the appearance of victory, the village idiot used a "surge" to give a temporary millitary victory to a handful of resurgents who had more rocks to throw than dangerous weapons. Not only did the surge bombard these rock-throwing protesters once, but at least a dozen times, in order for Dubya to repeatedly claim victory.
Don't be fooled. The village idiot caused his own country to nearly bleed to death while the Islamic ideology gained strength. Thank God for term limits. The entire free world will breathe a sigh of relief when this collosal Republican fool leaves office. He proved without a doubt that he is far better suited for shoveling horse manure in Crawford, Texas than running a country.

This entire strategic blunder will be hung around the neck of Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, and the rest of that lot for eternity. Their blind devotion to some kind of neo-con fantasy land caused our country to divert trillions in money and equipment and thousands of lives to a country that was not a strategic threat to our interests when we needed all that blood and treasure the most - in Afghanistan. Now, Iraq is a Shia-dominated state lurching toward Iran, our military is on the verge of collapse, our economy is on its back feet, our international standing in the world is shot, and Afghanistan (a country directly involved in Sept. 11th need I remind everyone) is teetering on the verge of disaster. Thanks for nothing you neo-con POS!
The sooner we get this crowd of ideologues out of Washington the better. Remember not to make the same mistake again this fall America! The last thing we need is another neo-con hothead acting like a bull in a china shop.

If he (Bush that is, as well as Cheney, Rumsfield and Powell) did not lie to go to war . . . it begs the question --
Why did they lie? They went to an awful lot of effort and intention to do so.
