But it goes to a good cause! I mean, the planet is dying, if you don't want to give all your money away, you must hate the planet? You don't hate the planet do you? What? You don't agree with my fallible and unsubstantiated claims? Do you hate me as well? Are you a racist? You don't know my color, but if you did, I bet you would hate me because of it? Right? *chuckle*

that really made no sense. you brought race into a topic about global warming!? give me a temp. I am all for being green, but our government has again failed us. no more money to them. the free market does a much better job. the planet is dying, and it will continue to die. look at what our solar system is. we orbit around a star. one day, that star will burn out. there is no reversal.

Probably for the same reason we spend money to go to the moon and send robots (or whatever) to Mars. Total waste of money.

one is a goal, one is built on fear. to be honest, I could care less if we go to the moon!

You could ask the people living in these areas, for starters.

I prefer to ask them 10000 years from now... oh wait, it would be different wouldn't it? Deserts into forests and forests into deserts... must be global warming again going back in time... CO2 can time travel you know...

You missed my hint at sarcasm, it made no sense because isn't that really the issue here? Heart felt stupidity pushing the science and facts aside to "scare" people into the coffers?

Perhaps you will find something of value in these trends over extended periods of time:

My old buddy at The Ohio State University, Lonnie Thompson, did an interesting paper on the measurement of glaciers too:
