Well greg at least your honest about being a socialist and for that I commend you, still think you are wrong but at least we know where you stand!

Yeah socialist have this crazy idea that the federal government are the people when in fact it's just a group of elite few who think they are better then you are to stupid to make your own decisions. They will protect you from yourself and the evil corporations. Even if there were no corporations they would want to control something and give the power to the government. Corporations and all businesses are good and bad depends on who runs them. The most important thing is NOT to have the federal government control the economny and any resource. I almost dont know what to say to the socialist idea of thinking. The constitution was written to restrict the power of the federal government and because the federal government ignores that we alot of the problems today. Here GregW the socialist thinks they should have more power. Greg what if we had a bunch of george w bushes in congress? Would you think then the federal government having that power is a good idea. In fact with all the neo-cons I think we might have alot of W's in the congress right now.

What a bunch of hogwash.. Who's suggesting that we should have companies that are allowed to violate laws like Enron did?

Other than the imaginary ones that live in Cavuto's head, who are these Democrats calling for nationalizing the oil industry.

Does anyone (except some nut-jobs) seriously think that the US government would try to take over the oil industry? Be serious people. "Nationalized" industries have gone the way of the dodo bird in all but the most hard core countries.

One reason why the petro industry is still nationalized in countries where other industries are not is because there is NO PRIVATE OWNERSHIP of what's below ground in most countries.

Of course being completely full of c**p is what Cavuto is all about, he's on Fox for gosh sakes.

You would not be giving "power and price control" to Americans. You would be giving it to the federal government. Please tell me how the feds plan to run the oil services industry at anywhere near the efficiency of their private counterparts.

That is agianst the constitution and only playing to the ignoirant lynch mob crazies. Besides they would go for oil what they have done for social security and other governamnt programs.Remember what Gore wrote in his book before the 2000 election ;the only way to get peole to conserve is to raise the price. The democarts have keep drilling offshore and have stopped nuclear nergy when evry other country is doind it. The democrats are doing exactly waht Gore proposed make it too expensive for any but the rich elite.

Government could regulate profits and prices - no more 400 million dollar golden parachutes to Enron CEOs. It works in other countries, but maybe not with the Neo-cons that Americans elect into office.
