Default It's time for... the abortion poll!!!

Seeing as how there are several abortion threads floating around, I thought it'd be a good idea to condense everyone's opinions into a handy poll with pretty graphs.

Then maybe you should open up a poll the next time you make a thread suggesting a poll.

Can you break this poll down into trimesters? That might get a more accurate reading.

More specifically, I think asking the question "Abortion is OK only before the fetus gains consciousness" is ambiguous and misleading and will skew results and I personally won't be taking this poll because of how the question is posed.

how is that ambiguous? it's when the baby wakes up. doctors can tell really easily because the brain becomes a lot more active.

You should rephrase it as viability.

That IS really ambiguous though because availability of medical technology is different for different people. And would you say 0.0001% chance of survival, 50%, or 99% as the cutoff?

Viability as termed by the medical community in regards to abortion is generally accepted as 24 weeks.

You need to use trimesters or your poll is just flawed. Can't you just rewrite it so it isn't leading?
