I'm puzzled by your assumption that Europeans are godless. How about parading around with life-size images of saints & Christ on huge platforms carried by men? There are a number of holy sites in Europe that Americans visit [Rome/Lourdes]. Classrooms even in public schools have a crucifix on the wall as well as court houses [France]. In Germany you see small shrines along side country roads & beautiful cathedrals all over the continent.
Some countries right up to the last 20 yrs maintained the church thru taxes & everyone is considered Christian/Lutheran [Sweden/Norway/Finland]. Depending on where a person lives there is a parish & priest nearby.
Maybe because Europe is the old church it seems different to some Christians. But here in the U.S, only evangelicals/Baptists seem focused on the souls of others & subscribe to pro-death penalty but anti-abortion\ anti-environment regulations\ rabidly anti-gay\ anti-science, etc.
These beliefs convince Europeans that Americans are not Christian.

Ktalley,
Every major religion has killed people at some point. We are talking about modern civilization today. Islam didn't get the memo on the modern part.

Yeah, they all came back missing America. They all said it's full of prostitutes and people who refuse to work.
Gotta be honest, I have no reason to go there. I will someday though.

You are a very compassionate all American Christian girl. Why don't you go to Europe and put your foot down.

Right because America don't have prostitutes.
America don't have unemployment.
Americans all live like Nuns or they get married and have children at aged 25, no later god forbid.

"what is wrong with people from the USA. Everybody has guns will shoot you if you enter their property. They all eat McDonald's and are fat They feed their kids soda instead of milk. People from the USA are Christian fanatics. Not any better then Muslim fanatics and their dictators name is Ayatollah Bush.

I think when it comes to animal cruelty Americans are much more sensitive to other countries. In much of the world, Michael Vick would not be villainized for what he's done. I know that doesn't make it right and I agree with our values a lot more.
Spanish bullfighting is much worse than rodeo because in America the cowboy doesn't kill the bull at the end. I don't know how people in Spain do it but I wouldn't want bulls running through my local streets, like imagine if a few just happened to charge through windows or doors of people's houses.....
Europe has its historic beauty in a way the U.S. really doesn't. But at the same time, having lived here my whole life I'm more comfortable living in our culture and all. I'll probably always feel more at home in Applebees than a fancy bistro in Rome. One aspect where I think Europeans have less class than Americans is sports and the rowdiness of soccer games. While no doubt we have problems with unruly fans and violence at pro and college sporting events its not on the level of European soccer hooligans that show up at every game.....and when I say American sports fans keep in mind that Philly and Boston are exceptions.

In UK, germany, scandinavia, etc it has toned down bigtime. european football clubs are more woven into the history and culture of the town than american sports teams (where teams are called franchises and can be moved out of town by their greedy owners). It is difficult to compare european football, or for that matter football in general to american sports when it comes to support. I am not sure how many club games you've been to around the world, but trust me, matches in south america are much more 'rowdy' than in europe. while i don't condone violence, i enjoy the 'edge' from proper football support over the santized atmosphere you get in american sports. so much old time local support in the UK has been aliented by the sterilization of support in the premiership compared to the 80's.
Some of the safety measures i agree with, but there is a distinct difference in passion. And i went to undergrad at a huge big 10 school which is a historic football powerhouse and grew up in new york so i have experienced big time college football and the pinnacle of baseball in the US. while the support is passionate, it pales in comparison to club football support in variuos south american and european countries.
however to each his own. I think the OP is trying to view europe through a middle-american mindset. Just like when i defend some of america's 'culture' and policies to foreigners who view america from their mindset without trying to take a step back a look at things objectively and through all viewpoints.
