No one is stepping up and demolishing it. Seems more inflame it.

BO isn't doing it...not to get in a debate over them but they (him and his wife) are saying the same things. Things like what BBB said earlier in this thread....I can't speak on those. I can't defend or argue for them I can't or don't understand them fully.

I can't move forward.....I know a lot of I's in there.

We can't move forward in this position. All sides have to agree to move or it's a no go.

I think your statement applies to all Americans of all races, its unfair to place this stigma upon our foreheads. There are plenty of "woe is me" white Americans out there who are poverty stricken, on welfare and in jail. There are also many who have lived far above their means who will join the ranks of their poor white counterparts when the economic dust settles and the foreclosures are calculated.

As for my people, not all of us black folks are still weeping and wailing about the racial injustices in America. Do they still exist? Of course they do. But many of us have learned how to play the games in (white male dominated) corporate America, pulled ourselves up by the boot straps, got an education/trade/profession and long ago left the woe is me divisive tactics of the Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton crowd behind.

I think talking more is the key, and...this is a biggie...which doesn't happen a lot here on CD: listening. Not just hearing the words out of the mouth, but understanding them, and asking questions, not just assuming when one doesn't understand.

I think if people listen more, and try to leave the emotion behind, things will get even better. When both sides jump to conclusions without listening, you have a stalemate.

I realize that. I don't blame you I blame the MSM. If they don't trout out Al and Jesse to keep divisiveness alive, many of them wouldn't have jobs.

We all have so many problems...why can't we get rid of the petty ones like racism......Not to take away from how big it is.....on all sides.

I remember for a brief time right after 9/11. We were a nation....not divided we all believed in ourselves...then only a few short years later here we are again....divided as one system can be.

So when one thinks in a greedy manner....

How can we remove this cancer from our society....

First is to identify it...

After we ID it then we need to find common ground. We all want a better more prosperous America.

Then we need to setup plans.

Then we need a platform to get those plans out.

Then we realize the benefits of hard work.

Can we do it? or do we remain bickering back and forth between ourselves as to who is at fault?
