Freedom Of Speech?
I had a pretty interesting "argument" over somebodys belief that Boise and Idaho in general need to become more tolerant of illegal aliens, gangs, drugs, crime, AIDS, etc.. Because I vocalised my disdain about things that are overtly ILLEGAL and destructive to the community, it was erased. Watch what you say when it comes to the Illegal debate....big brother is watching you, and his name is Carl Marx.

Again, as i mentioned the problems with Illegals in another post, Use California as an example. DO NOT LET HAPPEN TO IDAHO WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO CA. WHERE THERE IS THE ILLEGAL,S THERE WILL BE CRIME AND DEATH. I KNOW FIRST HAND. I LIVED IN IT.

So you're saying if you remove illegals from the equation there will be no crime or death? Wow, how come that hasnt entered the debate. We should focus law enforcement on illegals and also give all medical professionals law enforcement powers. Then we get all the illegals out and so no more crime and death. We'll have a safe utopia where everyone resides legally, no crime is committed, and lives forever.

Looks to me like the only thing we can do, is just throw our hands up in the air and learn Spanish.................
If you want this country to follow the immigration laws, you are a racist.
If you hate seeing your neighborhood turning into a third world country, you are a racist.
If you want our official language to be English, you are a racist.
If you are against amnesty, and want all unauthorized persons to go home, you are a racist.
If you notice that most of the gang crime in L.A., is committed by Mexicans, you are a racist.
If you want your children to grow up in a safe America, where the only immigrants are legal, you are a racist.
Be my guest, I am sure most people can think of a lot more.

Yeah, I think you summed it up nicely. People want you to believe that everyone who is here illegally is an angel that just wants a better life, but the facts don't add up that way. Some are good people and some are not. Gang violence, drug running, hospital closure, and school failure are just some of the wonderful enriching things that illegals have brought us. Though, it is improper to mention these things in the immigration debate. The benefits we recieve (negative for the most part) do not outweigh the bad things associated with a mass influx of illegal aliens that are poor and uneducated. Most Americans have realized that and it's only a vocal minority (and the powerful politicians with big-business ties) that want us to believe otherwise.

The problem is the people who are elected that stall the debate are either in the "deport them all" or "give them all amnesty" corners. So the people who are trying to come up with a workable solution are drowned out. The solution, in my opinion, is to get rid or reduce the incentives. My mother was a legal immigrant, learned english, got a job, paid into the system, I was born here by the way, and eventually became a citizen. The incentives for legal immigration were laid out. Now, those incentives dont seem as much anymore and so the illegal immigrant doesnt see any true benefit to taking the legal path. It is quicker and easier being an illegal immigrant. That's why you need to focus on the incentives and reduce them or show that they only apply to the legal immigrant. That's not racist, if someone say it is, guess what, they just directed the discussion away and you fell for it.

I've lost count of all the illegal threads, but I need to ask THE WOLF one question. You mentioned AIDS. Are you somehow associating the illegal problem with the virus?

There are an est. 38 million people with HIV worldwide. By far the majority (24 million) live in Sub-Saharan Africa. Asia has an est. 8 million cases, Latin America 1.6 million.
For comparison, there are an est. 2 million people with AIDS in North America and Western and Central Europe.

When an immigrant enters our country legally, they undergo a mandatory health screening for contagious diseases such as TB and HIV. One of the many serious issues associated with an influx of illegal aliens from all part of the world is that when someone enters the US in violation of US immigration laws, they are not screened for diseases. When people choose to enter illegally, if they harbor an infectious disease it goes undetected. This can place the American public at serious risk. HIV is particularly problematic because the person may have no idea they are HIV positive and so not modify their behavior in ways that would prevent the spread to others.
So yes, this is a valid question, one everyone should think about.

There's no freedom of "speach" (aka speech ) on a privately-run website... they have the power and the right to delete anything they choose, whether or not you agree. I don't know about the specific post in question, but I'm sure the mods had a good reason. Especially considering the posts that remain, and how "controversial" some of them are! Why would they only pick on you, when tons of other threads mention the same issues? There are so many threads on immigration, it's really quite repetitive and silly... which is why I avoid them for the most part.
