Well I really think with congress having even lower ratrings than Bush since the democrats took over ;she hardlyhas room to talk. They aree not know as the do nothing congress for nothing. The only things they takeup are political correct bill and they would allow any bill to come up that any bluedog demcrats may vote with the reublicans;like drilling.

That might be true with subtler presidencies. Bush has made such enormous blunders on so many levels, I think the writing is on the wall.

Mortgage crisis - GW held guns to the heads of people until they closed on adjusting, interest only loans for 125% of the value of the home.

Just for the record, all of those bad loans and loose lending practices started under Clinton, using the argument that even those who couldnt afford down payments on a home should not be exempt from home ownership. When everyone that couldnt afford homes started to buy them, the prices of course rose out of control and it was only a matter of time till the bubble burst.
