Yeah, teachers are more on an entitlement program in terms of pay.

why would both parents have to work? oh, that's right. the entitlement mentality. we are entitled to a 5000 square foot house. I forgot. my tax dollar is going to bail out those worthless criminals who defaulted on their loans as well. I honestly don't know why someone with no kids should pay for the education of someone else's kids. why do those who use the most resources, pay the least in taxes? hell, they even get to write off their kids. it's pathetic.

it's okay though. we're going to socialize health care in a few years. it might be a good time go to med school and party your way through. you'll be getting a paycheck regardless of what happens to the patients under your care.

Why should someone without kids have to pay for the education of children in your community? Because it is better for your community, that's why. Do you want to live in a community full of uneducated adults?

Contrary to popular belief, there was education in this country before the government swept in and ruined it.

You got that right. It helps to be a teacher when your husband is the governer. Ol Kean made it good for all the teachers. Does NJ still have the highest paid teachers on earth?

obviously I do, I post in a forum full of uneducated adults. the point is, why do those who use the most in resources give the least in tax dollar? I guess that's my question. I pay about 50% of my money in taxes, and I use roads, and local government things. I don't get to write off any "children." I only get to write off a mortgage, something that they have talked about getting rid of. the system is jacked.

Well, I'm not a big fan of taxes, but I think taxes towards education is a positive. The tax system totally sucks though. We just got done paying the IRS a huge chunk of change, and we have 4 little "write offs"!
