Hate crimes are gay, they are nothing more than prosecuting people for their thoughts.


Hate crime = thought crime.


But vandalism is punishable and the perpetrators should be prosecuted. If they did that crap to me, I'd just shoot 'em and toss their bodies in a dumpster.

Perhaps our tax dollars shouldn't be bothered to build the roads and such in Oklahoma. Put a financial interest in doing the right thing and perhaps they will.

That's another thread, but, yes--from what I've seen, the most vehement homophobic people tend to be gay. I don't mean people who have qualms about it or just ordinary homophobic people--I mean the ones who cling to it, obsess over it, talk about it more than openly gay people sometimes do. Those people are often repressed.

Anyway, about this thread....I really don't think that should be considered a "hate crime." It's vandalism. I don't care what the words are. I'm not sure that I think much of the "hate crime" label at all, anyway.

It's not punishing someone for the way they think, it's for the actions they're carrying out, big difference. And yes, it should be punishable.
