I am confused. Doesn't it take two to commit adultery? Does this mean the lone man was the Iranian Casanova, visiting these women in different locations? Or does it mean that there is a good ol' boys mentality in Iran?

Why? Because they're actually willing to take a stand? Or is it because they practice what they believe instead of giving it lip service?
That's pretty funny coming from an American. American christians are so weak and pathetic they can't even endure the terrible suffering of eating fish on Friday's to honor and show respect for their god.

I consider killing someone for the crime of adultery to be more than a little disproportionate to the "offense" actually committed.

I don't think the man is being stoned in an attempt to seem fair. Do a little research on womens rights in Iran and you will see clearly they have no interest in being fair, nor appearing to be.
