As much as I am fine with the right to bear arms and all that jazz...drunkenly shooting your lawnmower with a sawed off in your yard is horribly stupid and deserves punishment.

No, it is a felony to possess such a weapon under Wisconsin law, unless it is licenced pursuant to the regulatory provisions of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Apparently, this ridiculous fellow didn’t comply with the law.

I'd bet he gets a plead of D+D - maybe unlaw discharge of a firearm - a small fine - no jail -

I'd also bet my edger I blew apart with a firearm this morning is in far worse shape than his lawn mower!

Allegedly Randy Weaver made a short barelled shotgun too. I'll wait out the truth thanks. The bottom line in truth is nobody was hurt, so, wheres the harm? Is he an idiot? Sure, but if thats illegal we need to round up congress.
