Default Religious Right Mad In California

Supporters of Proposition 8, the proposed state constitutional amendment that would ban gay marriage, said they would file suit today to block a change made by California Atty. Gen. Jerry Brown to the language of the measure's ballot title and summary.

After a tweak by the state attorney general's office, the initiative now seeks to 'eliminate the right' of same-sex couples to marry, wording that the measure's proponents say could prejudice voters.

Opponents of gay marriage say they'll sue over changed wording in Proposition 8 - Los Angeles Times (broken link)

Once again the bigotry of radical Christians has been trumped by fairness.

"Any rights not enumerated in this document belong to the people" or something similar.
If being gay and showing it is such a great religious sin why not let God sort it out later. Or are Conservatives afraid that gay folk might worship God like they say they do. It appears, that if God created the world, he created gay people as well, so being anti-gay is being anti God, or something like that. What are the Conservatives going to do if God turns out to be bi-sexual? That will be a fine day.

don't these people have a life except worrying about who is marrying who? "eliminate the right" is basically what they are doing so if they are so gung ho about it why should the wording bother them?

Yes, marriage for same-sex couples is now a right in California, so they would be eliminating a right. This is very appropriate wording.

I'm a Republican and I agree that these people are taking it too far. It's really none of their business if two gays want to marry. Live and let live.

The IRS needs to start charging a user's fee to churches that wish to be involved in the political arena.
