not really. insurance companies shouldn't pay for it. it's not a medical condition. if they need it to regulate periods, then they should pay for it, but contraception is not a medical issue that should be covered under insurance. I take medication that isn't covered under insurance.

Perhaps your correct but there are some in the GOP who would make it as hard to get an abortion as possible and that is wrong.
Ofcourse those who are not pro choice think thats fine.

What about women who are on the pill to prevent ovarian cysts? Shouldn't that be covered by insurance too?

yeah, as long as it is a medical condition, I have no problem with it. it's medical insurance, not life insurance. (pun intended.)

Ok... I have a 25% chance of giving birth to a child with a serious illness... my husband and I found out when I was pregnant with my second child... we have two healthy kids who do NOT have this problem but due to our probability of giving birth to a sick child who will not live to see the age of 30 we have decided to not have anymore children and I had an IUD... based on this I would not have been allowed the IUD... is that right? Insurance shouldn't pay for that because I don't have a medical issue myself but if I became pregnant my future child WOULD most likely be ill and have a medical issue the insurance Co would be forced to then shell out a TON of cash and would probably be cursing itself that they didnt' offer me that IUD... I also had the IUD removed and my husband had a vasectomy... would that all be uninsured as well? Nothing like putting religion into political view... I think the Republicans just want the Conservative Religious Vote...

I stand by my statements. having sex is a choice. it's personal responsibility. use a condom. pull out. my old insurance company wouldn't even cover my medication for my blood pressure. that is a medical condition. I have no sympathy for someone having to pay the cost of birth control themselves. if I was the man in the relationship, I would pay for it. but that's just me.
