She wants gas to be high, just like Obama. Cars = freedom, and she doesn't like that. She probably has some silly vision of everyone being forced to use public transportation.

We are speaking of 18 months of grid lock here...GRIDLOCK: When congress really gets nothing done...can we get a refund from them?...where is the civility?...the bi-partisianship?...the country is in a he** of a shape and they abandon the capitol to go to Bermuda and check their off shore accounts...
It's a lot like fiddling while Rome burned. Nero was impeached...by his mother, right after he married his horse...

There is an August recess every year. It's been on the Congressional calendar since forever. Republicans should welcome it most, as for a while, nothing will get passed without their having to filibuster stuff...

This is true sag, but considering the state of things it might go a long way towards building some goodwill with the American public if they voluntarily decided to stay and work through this recess. "Everyone" is struggling and they go off on a 5 week vacation, it just looks bad. Not that they could look any worse I guess...

Sounds good and I am fully willing to support such a measure so long as you agree to get rid of Bush and Cheney first.

She did her job today and she should stand proud. She shut the Republicans down cold and refused to give them an issue and to give away our wonderful coast to Exxon Oil. I guess the Republicans don't think that Exxon's obscene profits are high enough.

Wasn't she one of the ones complaining about he Iraqi's going on vacation when there was important work to be done? Truly a servant of the people....If she's against the bill, she should make an argument.
