History could repeat itself, Nixon's Watergate and Vietnam; Bush's Iraq War and the Scooter Trial!

And I'd live through them both.

Ditto.
Watergate was huge. I was fairly young then, mostly just interested in where my next beer was coming from, but the enormity of what Watergate meant did eventually hit me, and I began watching the hearings.
Mr. Libby told the grand jury that Mr. Cheney told him to leak portions of an intelligence report saying Iraq had "vigorously" tried to acquire uranium from Niger. Mr. Libby said Mr. Cheney assured him that President Bush had authorized the release of the information, which had been classified.
"The vice president instructed me to go talk to [New York Times reporter] Judith Miller to lay things out for her," Mr. Libby said.

I was in Amsterdam then, but the Brits and Dutch combined their resources and we got all the bad news daily by satellite! It was the single biggest topic of the day better than Peyton Place.

The stakes are getting higher.

I've lost count but apparently all the witnesses appear to contradict Scooter. Russert joins the crowd; see here:

http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?p...9.uGs&refer=us

Now whoever laughed at his name, obviously didn't go to an ivy school or travel in Scooter's circles.

Until recently, I had the misfortune of being called, yes, Muffy!

Muffy? Muffy?!?

The walls are closing in on this whole cabal at this point, and I think Fitzgerald is prosecuting this brilliantly. He's methodically and reliably building a case for further indictments and investigations, just like his track record suggested he would.

Well, we sillyheads (Muffy and friends) agree that Fitzgerald may be able to take this the "whole" bloody way!

There's a good story on msnbc.com about Cheney being at the center of all of this...

Sorry, I don't have a link but it just came out today.

I hope the Democrats will get the idea of impeaching if this "War with Iran" drum keeps beating louder and louder all the time.

The last thing we need is to start a war in another country with NO ALLIES!!
