Default TAX BREAKS(republican vs democrat)

i like to know whats the issue with taxes on both parties...

one thing i notice is that when a democrat is in office the wealthy is angry because they are gonna have to pay their fair share on taxes..why get amgry?

russels simmons said himself that whether he get a tax break or not its not gonna hurt him and he dont need it. so whats the deal?

also dems and repubs blast each other about taxes but when republicans get in office and have to raise taxes wheres the outcry?

the truth is no matter what party, some kinda tax will be raised, i just dont get why people cant understand that.

Isnt it the more money you make, the more you pay in taxes...

lastly this is a statement i been needing a answer for. bush sr. said his sons life would be a living hell under a democrat president what in the hell does that mean? lol

Ouch.

Does that post hurt anyone else's eyes?

Bolded rainbow.... nice.

Yes, both parties suck. There's really not much of a difference between the two anymore, which is why I get such a kick out of reading through the threads in the election forum.

If you really want to lower taxes, vote Libertarian. They're the only party with any possibility of gaining traction against the R&Ds.

But in some places people go to the polls to vote yes to raise taxes upon themselves, in order to get a new arena, jail, library, or whatever. I think people like that can of tax raising because they will be able to see up close the results of where their higher taxes are going.

Just select the text (drag your pointer down over it) and it will be white on dark background. Somehow, when I saw the colored text, I knew there would be an lol at the end of it.

I went to my options and set it to disallow visible post elements, but colored fonts are not included, so you have to live with them.

No I don't - I can just put the people that do it on ignore. If they want their posts to be read, they should be making them readable...

LOL, if you think Liberals really care about you and will ensure lower taxes then I cordially invite you to do some time here in Vermont where you will spend so much for the warm and fuzzy common good and then spend even some more. I know there are other much larger states with much higher profile dems and libs, but for such a small state we sure do have an abundance of double talking mouthpieces who are willing to champion any hair brained cause rather than get down to business and really take care of the people.

why are you blaming one party and one ideology only, thats what i dont get libs this libs that dems this dems that, etc etc, republicans have spent billions of dollars on b.s and that money could have been used for usage in the states.

we can fund war but cannot fund education, somethings very wrong

i think taxes should benefit all. not just wealthy and they really dont need them.greediness

I don't understand your last statement. How do government officials "really take care of the people" without spending tax money? You complain about the high taxes of Vermont and blame it on liberals, which I don't think makes sense since all ideologies have a thousand ways to waste our taxes. Other than taxes and forced labor, how does a government take care of its citizens?

Conservatives seem to want to not pay any taxes. Because of our inability to think in shades of grey, their opposite (liberals) must therefore want to increase taxes. This is simplistic thinking that is not justified by reality. Both sides will raise taxes to pay for their priorities. Conservatives want to pay taxes for defense. Liberals prefer butter over guns. Since defense spending is such a huge portion of where our tax dollars go, I don't see how liberals can be singled out for blame in all of this. The trend has been that the Republicans ("conservatives") spend like drunken sailors and Democrats ("liberals") are left to clean it up.

Actually, who cares? The US economy won't last to the end of this decade anyway. I say get those tangible goods now and start planting crops in your backyard.

The less taxes the better. People can hate the rich all they want but in the end if they are getting taxed more that means less money they are spending and investing which means a slower economy.
