Yeah that's right.

I live in Suburbia, I'm White and male. Oh and I'm straight too, so that means I must be supporting the Republican ticket.

I think all this stereo-typing is dumb. These Politics topics promote stereo-typing and name-calling too much.

Truth is, I'm Independent, I'm undecided who I'll vote for, but I'm leaning somewhat for Obama right now. There, 'nuff said. Who's going to be the 1st to bash me or question my decision???????

OP - some stereotyping is not inaccurate. If you are who you say you are, and live in a Texas small town, chances are 70% that you will be a Rep. If you are white and teach in California, chances are very high you will be a Dem. If you are in the army, regardless of white /black, odds of you being a Rep are the highest. Nothing wrong with understanding the odds ...

My lifestyle doesn't fall under a tyical stereo-type.

I live in the northern part of Phoenix,Arizona in a very Suburban neighborhood and I love it. I hate welfare. I'm White, male, hetero, and patriotic. Most of my neighbors are voting Republican, and I have many friends that vote Republican most of the time. Given all that I should be a Republican too, right?????

But I hate the a-holes that drive the lifted trucks and SUVs. I'm pro-environment and I loathe oil companies. I drive a Hybrid and ride a bicycle. Some politicos assume I'm a Democrat or Liberal based on that alone, but I'm not.

See calmdude-----
Stereo-types are just generalizations that mean nothing. Everybody is different and unique in some fashion.

Stereotypes are earned. That doesn't mean that every single person fits the respective stereotype, but as calmdude said, there's nothing wrong with understanding the odds.

As for your positions, you're an individual and you don't fit the traditional stereotype. Good for you - do you want a medal or something?

I am a white male veteran that lives in a Republican suburb of Boston. I am also a proud supporter of individual rights and a foe of corporate welfare. I am a liberal Democrat.
