Should the blue states secede from the union?
IF we continue the route we are going...why stay as "one nation under their God?" Seriously, why not split up, let those of us who don't believe in fundamentalism and all that nonsense join up with Canada or start our own independent country and let the wingnuts have their half? Everyone could be run by their own laws and everyone could be happy...
...also, sense the US would cease to exist, both sides would suddenly find themselves with no national debts. If the debter, in this case the US, dies, those who are owed money are out of luck and the two new countries can start off with a fresh slate away from one another and free to choose their own destinies...seriously, why not?
EDIT PLEASE NOT THAT I am talking about mutual, non-violent seperation, like what Czechoslovakia did in the early 90s, and not a civil war. We can be peaceful, friendly neighbors while at the same time following our own destinys and running ourselves the way we feel we should be run.

Looks good to me!!!! Alaska will have to join "Jesusland," though, because they are conservative, too.
Note that "Jesusland" has the energy and most of the agricultural resources.  |

Actually, if you include Canada and it's oil sands and the coal reserves in PA, they are both even...not to mention the massive agriculture in California and northern New England |

lol at that map! Dude your like my hero now. If the blue states succeded then the rest of the country would be screwed economically. Bye bye New York, Chicago, LA, San Francisco, etc. Texas would have the new largest economy in the country.
We all know this won't happen in a million years and would yield a new cival war so I can live with people I disagree with.

Note as well that Alaska has an incident of rape 2.2 times higher that the national average. They'd fit right in with all the other states in Jesusland...excelling in rape, incest, domestic violence etc....you know, all that redneck fun.
