This conservative doesn't get it
Okay, many people say being conservative makes you a sexist, racist bigot who hates diversity (whatevar ). But here's what I don't understand:
Democrats are against outsourcing. But outsourcing benefits largley poor, non-white nations by developing them and helping them stand on their feet. 25 years ago, both China and India were hellholes, but now they stand a chance of giving a large majority of their citizens a better quality of life. What is so bad about that ?
Democrats hate people like Clarence Thomas and Sarah Palin. Both Blacks and Women are people democrats claim they want to see "Succeed", but these two always draw their ire. Why?

I'll be pro-outsourcing the day we have a surplus of jobs here at home or when we're outsourcing because their is a shortage in skilled labor for x jobs. Until that time comes and so long as we're sending jobs out of America because its a cheaper alternative for big business, forget about it. I don't give a good golly about helping other countries up to that degree when that means people here in our own country had their jobs cut. Nope, I do not. There I said it.
To quote McCain, ironic as the quote is on this issue, "Country first."

We don't like Palin and Thomas because we don't value a person just for being black or female. Neither of those people stand for equality. Thomas is a sexist and pervert, Palin is a male chauvinist with a vagina.

1 word - COMPETENCE. Outsourcing is being done to people who can produce the same product at a cheaper price. Thomas and Palin have issues in this area.

To me, a "better life" means not having to work as hard for your family's basic needs. So, why is it that we outsource so many jobs to reduce the price of so many things, but we still expect every American to work at a full-time job? How does that make a better life? Have we now redifined 'better life' to mean more toys, instead of less hard labor?
When I was a kid, there were 4 of us, and my unskilled dad worked 40 hours. Nowadays, a family of four needs two jobs to make it (even with cheap labor to make their stuff). So, what makes our life "better" now than it was in the 50s?

I do not think any company gives a damm about the country it is outsourcing to - it is business. They go there because it is cheap. If you owned a company, would you want to go and buy raw materials from an expensive place? Probably not. If your answer is "yes", you wil lproduce a more expensive product that people will not buy, you will lose out to the competitor buying cheaper stuff and you will be out of business.

No, I don't support full pull out on either side, ours or theirs. What I do support is equal trade which most of the countries we're outsourcing to do not engage in under the guise of, in some cases, oh if we allowed all your products to be sold here then it would kill our economy.
It would kill China's economy for instance? The booming economy with the biggest population on earth? Sorry, not buying. Would it hurt? Yes but no more so than allowing them to sell at the level we do, here, has.

Which is business. I get that. But we're letting them have their cake, icing it for them then serving it to them on silver platters. Why are companies that outsource to the levels some do in turn get such huge tax breaks here? The balance is lacking in how we currently allow outsourcing.
