DENVER - One of four ministers who oversaw three weeks of intensive counseling for the Rev. Ted Haggard said the disgraced minister emerged convinced that he is "completely heterosexual."
What a crock. I can't believe that there are so many people out there gullible enough to believe that after three weeks of "intensive therapy", someone who has been attracted to men his whole life is suddenly "cured" (as if being gay was some kind of disease or something). Conversion therapy was debunked by legitimate science and psychology long ago, yet these fundies are so filled with self-loathing that they will desperately grab onto anything that allows them to fool themselves into thinking that they're not what they hate.
Imagine being this guy's wife- being so desperate to hang onto an illusion that you would take him back knowing deep down that he digs men.
His family just better make sure to keep his freezer free of "popsicles"...if ya catch my drift... The male hooker he had his affair said he had skills that would remind one of "Oral" Roberts...hmmm, another televangelist who "sinned"... !
Everyone now goes to rehab for everything... Miss USA for cocaine and alcohol, the Mayor of San Francisco for horizontally assisting someone who wasn't his wife, the actor who slurred gays, Mel Gibson for anti-semitic remarks... and now Ted Haggard for being gay.
I wonder how they treated him.... flashcards of males and females in provocative poses where he gets an electric shock when he salivates if the flashcard is male?
Jeepers.
Keep the popsicles away from this man....

Was this a miracle? Did anyone call the Catholic Church to let them know that prayer really works?
If you have the telephone number for the Vatican, I'd be pleased to call--I have unlimited long distance!
