...is scheduled for release on October 17th, three weeks before the election.

Farenheit 911 might have had some influence on voters, however Michael Moore's audience was probably much more limited (appealing mainly to the far left, who would have voted democrat anyway). It was also released 4 months before the '04 election.

An Oliver Stone pic, OTOH, will likely be seen by a larger, mainstream audience and therefore could have a bigger influence.

Either way, it should be quite entertaining.

My bet is that it will end up in the discount bin at Target like all the other lame liberal politic movies.

The one thing that could hurt the box office on this (beside people not being able to buy tickets) will be not wanting to relive it.

When I was a kid I asked my uncle (101st Airborne, 2 combat jumps in WWII) if he wanted to go to the movies to see "The Longest Day". His answer was, "nope, I saw the play".

It will be interesting to see how Stone portrays Bush skipping out on the National Guard when Stone was in Vietnam risking his life.

Cant wait to see this.

Does anyone really think this movie will be released when they say it will be? or will something "happen" to delay it?

They tried that with "Farenheit 9/11" and it didnt work. Moore found another distributor, the documentary went on to be the highest grossing doc. in history.

This time, Oliver Stone has much more clout in Hollywood than Moore, and it will be a month from the end of the worst Presidency in U.S. history.

This movie is on!

Why of course not, Timmy. Of course there is no left wing bias in the media.

Move along now.

It's going to be a great film. I mean think of all the characters in Washington right now. We have lived through one of the most interesting periods in American history. And we probably will never see another administration as insane as this one, at least not in our lifetime. Bush, Cheney, Rice, Powell, Rusmfeld, Wolfiwitz, Rove, Libby, Gonzales, ********, Brown, Chertoff, etc etc
