I started a thread about issues but no one wants to talk about the issues.. there's a surprise.
So here's a new topic..
I believe about 90% of Americans believe the same.
5% are crazy left wing loons
5% are crazy right wingers
Most of us are in the middle. So why can't we solve more problems since most of us think alike.
For instance, I bet 90% of us would agree that partial birth abortion is shady and that infanticide is flat out wrong. On the other side of that, I bet most of us agree that if a woman is raped or incest is in play that she has the right to choose not to go through with her preganancy.
I bet most of us don't want gun stores around the corner selling AK-47s. I also bet most of us don't want unarmed home owners fighting off armed burglars with their bare hands.
I bet most of us think the very rich paying over 50% in income tax is unfair, but we also agree that people who are born with mental and physical disabilities need monetary help.
I bet most us don't want a president who wants to make every country in the world look just like America. We also don't want a president that will cower under his/her desk when threatened by a dictator.
You catch my drift.
Most of us probably agree on the main issues. If that's the case and these goons in Washington are suppose to represent the people, then why can't we get more accomplished?
Most people agree on the problems, just not the solutions. They insist that each other don't recognize the problem, which is where most of the arguments errupt from.
