Laugh if you want!!!
Hi all, here's a quick break down of my latest updates. All the big players have secretly gotten out of the stock market. When I say big players I'm talking 100 million dollar club and up. From what I'm told 09 is the year from hell. If you have any money get it out of the stock market and the bank. The money doesn't really exist. THIS IS YOUR LAST WARNING!!! Don't be surprised if you go to the bank and they refuse to give you all your money, remember it's not there. I am told that gold will hit at least 1200 an ounce, and silver will get to 24-32 an ounce in 09. Rumor has it oil will drop to 50 dollars a barrel, while the dollar free falls. Food will keep going up so get some extra ASAP. Iran is no threat at all but keep your eye on Russia. They try to invade our airspace every day 3 times a day. They have over 8 top secret nuclear submarines that our NAVY can't detect. Yes I said NUCLEAR and they are off the West and East coast. The NEO-CONS are trying to provoke WW3. This is only the very basics so you guys do your home work and go from there. Here's a short list of some items to get while you can.
Food-lots of can goods, rice, beans
Solar oven, wood burning oven, propane grille
Cash lots of small bills some gold and silver if you can i.e (mercury dimes)
Weapons with lots of ammo for you and friends or neighbors
9mm is the most common bullet to find so thats a good way to start
AR 15 with EO tec or Aim point or A cog scopes
sniper rifle i.e (Barret 50 Cal) takes out light armor
put together a grab bag incase you have to leave in a hurry have extra clothes boots gloves cash knife and your ccw side arm with extra clips.
Again these are only some of the very basics feel free to to add on to help others on here.
Solar panels are nice but pricy
generators are nice but you need a safe place to store gas
water makers from thin air or water tablets, Berkey filters are a good buy
so on and so on you get the point I hope this helps.

You missed one. Perhaps the one most scary - an EMP attack by Iran, North Korea or some other nuts. Do some web research and it will scare your socks off. Up to 90% fatalities.
Aside from the histerics it is good to have some basic living supplies socked away. If for no other reason than to survive a major earthquake which is probably more likely living in CA than these other scenarios. And yes I would include guns and ammunition. If communications are down and you can't call the police or we have a critical food shortage it will be necessary for you to protect yourself. Heck the same is true in many places even in peaceful times. Whats the old joke? Call for a policeman and a pizza at the same time and see who gets there first.

If you are predicting such a collapse (ie. no power, food shortages, gas shortages etc.) I would buy property that is in the country and not in Orange County. During any natural disasters the cities become cess pools of violence and blood shed. Preparing for disasters is always a good idea none the less. I am surprised how many people don't even bother to do it. Just look at Houston! You sure don't want to be the guy on TV complaining about how he can't get any food or water.

People:
What this man says is true. He is not the only one getting warnings either from relatives in the know or from within the spirit.
Please do not be so hasty to discount his words. LAPD, your words are going out all over now as various prep/end time forums pick up on this and your original thread.
I would urge you, LAPD, to check out

Keep up the good work and fighting the good fight.
Those of you who think that he and those like him are nuts, fine. Think that. May your thoughts keep well for you this winter.

As alarmist as the first post is, I will agree with the original poster that if / when the economy collapses, it is going to get very ugly VERY fast especially in crowded places like Orange County where everyone depends on stores for food, and most have no concept of how to survive or be self-sufficient. Considering recent events the average hard-working Orange County resident should take some time to step back and consider what might happen if his land of plenty suddenly became a land of want.
Think about it: Economic collapse occurs nationally and affects every level of society with a tidal wave effect. Federal and local governments have proven themselves incapable of addressing even a localized disaster like Katrina. Imagine suddenly your banks are closed, your gas stations are out of gas. Then suddenly your money becomes worthless, even if you managed to withdraw some cash. Businesses close, paychecks stop. It will only take a couple of days of panic and looting to empty out your local Costco. There won't be gas to go anywhere. Besides, where would you go? The problem will be everywhere and the truck drivers won't be working to restock your Wal-Mart.
Then consider you have massive populations of criminally minded people, armed and with nothing to lose. They too are suffering and panicking. Remember the L.A. Riots? Here they come to loot, steal, rob, set fires and kill with as much glee as they did when they pulled Reginald Denny from his truck and fractured his skull in 91 places back in 1992. The populations of such people even within Orange County are much higher than 1992. This isn't going to be like the Great Depression where the displaced dust bowl farmer comes knocking on your door politely asking to work for food.
Are the cops going to rescue you? NO, they will be at home protecting their families. By the time the government responds locally, it will be at least two weeks and then only depending on where the problems are worst. Remember this crisis affects bureaucrats and working men alike. Eventually the armed soldiers and curfews will come but what will you have done to provide for and protect your family up to that point?

If you want to live in fear and think the worst then go for it. Some people just enjoy worrying I suppose.

A certain percentage of the population are crazy as loons. We are fortunate that most of them seem to be locked up in here...
