It's like that in Europe and the Commonwealth. I think we're the only country to employ Red=Conservative Blue=Liberal.
Actually, it was the reversed at one time but someone, possibly the pro-communist reporters who report on the election, decided to change it around. Since so many communist, dictators, and muslim terrorist support the Democratic party their color is Red in both Communist and blood.
Actually I feel embarassed that I live in a nation of partisan thinkers. I am embarrassed that too many of my fellow americans think in terms of party line instead of Whats best for my country. Both major parties make me sick with their finger pointing excuse making do little or nothing attitudes.
Term limits and accountability would fix many of DC's woes. Not to mention independent investigations by the FBI at random to keep the scum bags honest.

I can't tell you how difficult it was to explain....or to TRY to explain to my friends in Russia all of the screwy things the "fruits and nuts" engage in....in Khali-porn-ya....
My friends were shocked that homosexuals can actually marry, adopt children....that men sodomize each other in public and that the police do nothing....but stand there and WATCH....even though indecent exposure IS against the law....even though lewd and lascivious behavior IS against the law...even though public indecency IS against the law....
They said...."how can the U.S. expect others in the world to follow the "rule of law" when you don't even enforce YOUR OWN laws in YOUR OWN country.......and particularly in such CLEAR CUT CASES...."
...I had no answer...because they of course were right...
My friends where amazed that homosexual women go to clinics and get impregnated so as to start a "family".....They simply could not believe it....They could not believe all the people with tattoos, facial implants....split tongues....they said "how can America call itself the example of the "free" world...for culture...and decency...when so many of your people are no different than jungle cannibals?..."
..again...there was nothing I could say....because they were right...
So, being from California is a big pain.....better to lie and say your from some other more sensible state....a normal state....in every sense of the word....

My state was RED but is now BLUE. The only reason for this is because so many people fled a few Northern BLUE states because there were no jobs, and the cost of living was too high + higher taxes. Now they bring their BLUE state mess down to me in Florida....
There are a lot less "embarrassed" Republican states since Nevada\ Colorado\ New Mexico\ Iowa\ Indiana\ Ohio\ Virginia\ Florida & North Carolina are now Democratic. The "embarrassment" that America has had to bear is soon to leave of nation's White House never to be seen again unless in a court room facing charges of treason!

Whoa there, Nellie. The colors in the US refer to plitical parties, not political philosophies. There are still a few liberal Republicans and Conservative Democrats. And variations thereof.
I see a lot of people coming from the democrat state of Michigan to a republic state of Texas where there are jobs.
Exactamundo... Blue states that were ruined by liberal economic ideologies are dying... ie Michigan, Penn, and Ohio. States that liberals love to hate - TEXAS, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Arizona - are blossoming in every way.
Then there is California, the liberal behemoth, which is both a moral and now a $44 billion dollar economic failure. How pathetic, California coming to the federal government "with hat in hand"... (CA-stop allowing yourselves to be owned by illegals)
