Holy cow! Once again talking about reducing the world's arsenal of nuclear weapons with people who actually have them and a way to bringing them to your doorstep. Talk about retro!

I think its a win-win for both countries. The United States has firepower to destroy the world several times in just one nuclear submarine. I think we'll be fine if we reduce our arsenal just a little bit. We'll save some money which can be diverted to more important causes like body armor and humvees for troops. Russia will have less nukes that can fall into terrorist hands.

Thats a bit of a stretch.. Nuclear submarines are not that well armed.. Besides, nuclear weapons are not really meant to be used, if they are, they have failed their purpose. However, a reduction would be a good idea, Russia has quite a few that are unaccounted for, and the US apprently has a habit of sticking them on planes without knowing it...

As President Reagan once said, trust but always verify.

I don't think we should reduce our nukes. We may need them for the future. I was watching a special about space rocks on the Science channel a few nights ago. They said we could handle anything except a comet. It might take every nuke on the planet to blast a comet off course from earth. They also said we would probably have no more than two years notice.
