Default Barney Frank and Fannie Mae Conflict
It appears that Barney Frank may have a little more involvement in today's Fannie Mae mess than he lets on. From 1991-1998, when Fannie Mae developed many loan products for people with marginal income, Frank's live in significant other was Assistant Director for loan product development for Fannie Mae.

The only comedic relief I can draw from this is that a guy who has made a career out of being dishonest is named "frank". Now, that's irony.
