This is too funny for words. Ken Blackwell, disgraced Republican former Secretary of State for OH, who went out of his way to "fix" the '04 election for Bush, has written an opinion piece (for the NY Post, ha) on "voter fraud".

Blackwell is best remembered for (1) directing his staff to reject voter registration forms for being "not of the right weight of paper", and (2) losing the OH Governor's race in '06 by 23 percentage points. Now that'sw what W would call a "whuppin".

I was laughing at this a**ferret so hard I could barely see to type this.

Ken Blackwell has a special place in Hades for him. He could not even win a race (unless it's a district with nutjob neocons like Wasilla, even then he's black so who knows) for dog catcher.

I am from Ohio originally and lived in Cincinnati when Blackwell was mayor. I don't ever remember him doing anything special. Just my two cents worth.

Not sure, but I was there for the Jerry Springer event, too.

Springer to politics is like The Bungles to football, both are pretty funny and in need of zebras.

Blackwell lost the election only because the previous Republican governor ran the State into the ground. That along with a Republican majority in the state House and Senate that had done absolutely nothing for years. To most people, it had nothing to do with Blackwell. For what it's worth, many are already starting to dislike Gov. Strickland for lack of results on everything he campaigned for.

As for your other statement, back it up with a source. I live here and have never heard anyone but the democrats complain about him.

Yeah, 23 points, that can be explained strictly by "party affilitation". If that were the case McCain would've already pulled out of OH too.

A source for the "weight of paper" story? You're shi***ng me, right? Any news source will plug you right in.

And your evidence of that is what?

It isn't Blackwell's fault that Dummicrat election workers didn't know how to run the machines. Blackwell repeatedly request the state legislature provide funding to ensure all election workers were properly trained, and the legislature repeatedly refused.

What a hypocrite you are.

That was the law, and it was the law long before Blackwell took office. If you don't like the law, change it, but don't violate it.

You also forget to mention most of those registrations were fraudulent, as attested to by bogus addresses.
