More likely, they have a book called "Who's in the Family" where 5-year olds can get it. As it's written for children aged 3-7, that doesn't seem so odd. Did you know it has pictures of inter-racial familes? And elephant families? And elderly childless families? Oh, the horror! Gay-ness is like evolution -- a fact of life. You won't be able to hide your children away from either one of them...

Great post JViello.
It's sad how many people lack God in their lives. I for one hope that American society collapses, maybe then we can get rid of all these atheist, hedens, and non-believers. Hopefully, a new nation will rise from the ashes, one based on God and his teachings.
I understand that you cannot force gay people to love the opposite sex. But why go after a religous act such as marriage. Why do they have to get married? Especially if they do not follow Christianity. I would not care if a gay couple spend time together in private but I would be lying if I were to say that I would be comfortable with gay acts in public.
Well, this is a sad day for me indeed. Thank God there are alot of Roman Catholics in NYC. They would never allow this to happen. Well, as long as they don't get married under the church. Then I would really lose it.
And gays, spare me your little sermons on constitutional rights, myths, bigotry etc ....My opinion is one I would never change. No matter how many of you [MOD CUT/offensive] try to force it down our [MOD CUT/crude] throats.

Turn back to your God and Godly principles America - turn back or you will fail. It was God that rasied you up, and gave you the devine providence and wisdom to prosper and become the greatest nation on earth...by abandoning that same God you spit in the face of what made you great.

You do make some valid points, but one of the biggest turnoffs for me is when people preach their religious opinions on myself or anyone else. I respect your opinion though.
I think it all comes down to the question of whether or not homosexuality is a choice. Personally I don't believe it is but for those who feel the opposite, I can see why they're offended at the thought of same-sex marriages.
As for America going downhill in the past 30+ years, I couldn't agree more. But right now, I think two guys or girls marrying is the least of our worries. We as a nation need to get our priorities straight (no pun intended, lol).

Times have changed we celebrate free religion here in America, meaning the choice to believe in whatever we like.
I don't think of it as turning a back on a god, it is broadening our beliefs to more than one single form of religion and at the same time providing equality for all.

Sorry, but it's true, and the "sorry for any spelling errors" doesn't make it not true. I know we're supposed to (for some reason) ignore spelling and apparently "made up" words (hedens from SuperMario) when having discussions like these, to avoid being "petty", but c'mon people.
No one is perfect and we all make a typo from time to time, or spell something wrong...but a few seconds to review something won't shorten your life any, really, and your message will be SO much clearer.
CD has a built-in spell check function and after a certain number of errors, it really DOES make it hard to follow a train of thought and it really DOES make the poster look ignorant and foolish. And yeah, I suppose it makes me look petty for saying it but there you go.

Oh, so they were for slavery before they were against it. Gotcha!
Oppression is oppression, no matter which group is being oppressed. This country has a record of enlightenment and granting rights rather than suppressing rights. A slow progression, but progress nonetheless.
This ruling benefits society by helping gay people create strong, monogamous relationships. When people are monagamous, they arent's spreading STDs.
