Thumbs up So, liberals want universal health care

This is what happens for all of the clueless people who have no idea what they wish to thrust onto the country. It is the same old thing. People want it all and don't want to pay for it. This is what socialism does for the country.

The Associated Press: Hawaii ending universal child health care

HONOLULU (AP) — Hawaii is dropping the only state universal child health care program in the country just seven months after it launched.

Gov. Linda Lingle's administration cited budget shortfalls and other available health care options for eliminating funding for the program. A state official said families were dropping private coverage so their children would be eligible for the subsidized plan.

"People who were already able to afford health care began to stop paying for it so they could get it for free," said Dr. Kenny Fink, the administrator for Med-QUEST at the Department of Human Services. "I don't believe that was the intent of the program."

That doesnt say a thing in the World about Universal Healthcare other than the fact that people want the Government to provide it.

It was structured wrong. Of course people will take a free service over a service they must pay for.

You must go all in. Everyone must pay into the system. No free rides.

The Hawaiian Gvt had two choices, go back to the old way, or raise revenues to include the new participants.

It doesn't matter how the hell you structure it. It will be a complete failure and continue to bankrupt the country. Hey but you don't care, it seems all liberals want is to give money away to people who don't think they should have to work for it like the rest of us.

"France's health care system is among the most expensive in Europe: 10.5 percent of GDP, or $3,048 per capita in 2003. However, this price tag pales beside the American: 15 percent of GDP, or $5,711 per capita in 2003, a cost that is expected to reach 18.7 percent of GDP by 2014.

So not only does France have the best healthcare system in the World.

They cover everyone and the do it at 2/3 the cost of the United States....which ranks #37 right around Slovenia and Cuba in quality.

Yeah, that would be why most of the ones who are rich from those countries come here to get operations and such for cancer and special medical needs. That would be because they have such good helathcare. You need to stop drinking the kool-aid and learn what you are really talking about.

Yeah! You can't just do something as a country. It's sure to be a complete failure. Like building a highway system. That'll never work! All those morons just want something for free. A second-grader will tell you you can't get something for nothing.

Common defense. It's laughable! Buy a gun and do it yourself! Stop being so whiny - expecting the government to do it for you! You're so whiny!

Social security? What a failure! Ha! Ha-ha!

What kind of fantasy world are you living in? The government can't ever actually do something! Don't be silly.
