If Romney is such a great businessman (you know, like you clowns) why *wouldn't* he release his tax returns? You know, to show us exactly what type of business enterprises he has?

Not fun when it's turned, is it. The difference is that the transcript controvery is based in an APRIL FOOLS JOKE, and no president has ever been asked to release their transcripts, because 30 year old college grades have diddly squat to do with being qualified to be president. The only reason you nut jobs want to even see his transcripts is because you're convinced he was an Indonesian citizen then, or that he claimed to be one to get a Fulbright scholarship for international students, which isn't even AVAILABLE to undergraduates--he couldn't have applied even if he was a foreign student. It's just more crazy birther crap--you got shot down on the birth certificate repeatedly and you've been proved wrong over and over, but you just won't STOP. Do you understand that this whole issue just makes conservatives look CRAZY? That ticks me off.

On the other hand, every presidential candidate since the 70s has released numerous years of tax returns so the public can see who's paying them and their business concerns. Romney has highlighted his business experience as the main reason we should all vote for him, so why is he afraid to provide some documentation to back up those claims? Whether he likes it or not, the dems aren't going to let this issue go away, and it's going to backfire on him big time. Better to get the information out there now while it's still early and deal with the consequences vs. letting this simmer until the election. If the public is still talking about Romney's tax returns in September, he's toast.

Why in the world would someone care about thier college transcript?

How do you seriously believe this birther crap?,
His scholastic records are a non issue and a feeble attempt at deflection from Romney being asked to produce his financial records,He isnt sharing his School records because you birthers wouldnt believe them either and then start whining for his DNA records or all the telephone numbers he's ever used,Obama obviously knows its just a bunch of birthers and he hasnt a single vote to gain by releasing his records as its obvious he wont get the vote of a single birther so whats the point?

Why in the world would someone care about thier college transcript? Heck, anyone can look at mine, as there is nothing to hide.

Sure-

Transcripts are completely innocuous- in most cases. There would be no reason at all not to release them- unless they held a damaging secret.

What is that secret?

1. Obama was admitted as a foreign exchange student

2. he was admitted to Columbia by a quota

3. his grades were marginal

4. he probably took a few marxist courses

5. he was admitted to Harvard Law by a quota

All pretty damaging. He is left to explain either-

a. he lied about being a foreign exchange student. If so, what documents were presented then to show he was a Kenyan national? Were they just forged? IF so, it shows Obama has a strong history of lying, which is reflected in his current policies.

b. he was honest about being a foriegn exchange student and therefore is not eligible to be president.

I agree that both candidates are probably trying to hide something damaging in these records:

Romney, by not releasing MORE tax returns is probably trying to hide that he paid a lower tax rate based on only having earnings from Capital Gains and the American public would look and see he only paid 12% tax and take that as meaning he did something to cheat the system. His tax returns probably also show some money in off shore bank accounts. Again, not a kill shot, but something the American people would see as bad.

Obama, on the other hand, is probably hiding something much more damaging in his school transcripts, most likely one of the above notions. He either did something illegal, like claiming citizenship of another country, or was admitted based on a quota. It's not about the grades, it's about what he did and what he should have to answer to.

Neither of these candidates is crystal clear with their pasts and each has something to hide. They should both agree to release their damaging reports at the same time so they can both bask in the hideousness.

Did none of you guys go to college or graduate school or something? Nobody gets a record from their college saying "you were admitted on a race-based quota." It's just amazing that you think that.

Though he didn't release them, we saw Bush's transcripts because the media got a copy. They don't seem to want to find one Mr. Obama - or question him on much of anything for that matter.

Answer to the OP: Because it doesn't matter in the least. Also because he probably doesn't, you know, have them. Ask the school to release them.

He didn't "lock them up" or "seal them." That's just another lie that's been repeated ad nauseum.
