KKK Documentary on History Channel (parade, Mexicans, drugs, Obama)

Did anyone watch the documentary on the KKK last night? Actually I could not sit through the entire program... it was truly scary to me and I am not sure if it upset me more that there are more and more people, especially young ones, showing an interest in this type of fraternal organization.

I remember, years ago, when reading Gone with the Wind and reading the part about the group of guys who 'went out at night' to protect the South...and initially thought, wow, how gallant they are defending their families, etc., never realizing, of course that it was = to the KKK although it was written a bit more graciously and delicately...

Is it really upbringing; is it really fear of someone being different; is it really a belief system that only certain people are afforded certain rights...

There were actually young children, probably 6 or 7 in white robes and hoods chanting and participating in these activities....

Or are there people who just choose to hate because it is easier....

There is only an estimated mere 8,000 Klan members in the ENTIRE United States today, a country with over 300 million people. Meanwhile in Los Angeles county ALONE there are a whopping over 152,000 gang bangers. If you count nationwide those numbers are closer to 1 million according to America's Most Wanted. So you have a significantly better chance of bumping into a gang banger than you have of bumping into a klansmen. So I wouldn't worry too much about the klan today. Groups like MS-13 for example are a much bigger threat to American society than they are.

I just looked up the KKK figures and it says that law enforcement about 18,000 of them, so their number must be in the region on 30,000.

funny how mexicans can have La Raza, Mecha... Blacks can have NAACP (and don't give me the crap that these are NOT hate groups)... They are very much hate groups against whites and they feel that white men are holding them down/back and should be screwed

If whites have a group being proud of being white and hating on others that's their right.. remember? America... OH WAIT.. only the mexicans and blacks are allowed to hate... whites must pacify them and take the crap they give...

Wow. Just wow. This explains a lot. So in your weird twisted probably uneducated way of viewing the world in whatever backwoods/mountain Montana lens you see things, you are okay with the existence of hate groups of any kind?

NAACP - Didnt know they were still around, but from what I understand based on what was taught in schools, they were not at all a hate group but fought for equality.
KKK/Skinheads - are much much lower than just about any other group. Anyone who admires Hitler/Nazis and preach HATRED instead of pride should all be put away because their goals go against the very fabric that our great country was founded on.

I'm OK with the KKK.
It's called FREEDOM OF SPEECH.
I don't agree with them, but unlike your everyday average Democrat, that doesn't mean I need to stomp them out. This will shock you, but they have a RIGHT to be heard.

I wasn't even going to post here anymore, and I said so too. But I logged in to post on a different C-D forum, and you know what I found? Dozens of private messages from Obama supporters attacking me for being a Republican. They are not better than the KKK, and because of them I am back and will no longer hold back.

There are MANY good people in Montana. You fear Montana because you have never been there. And if you've never been there it must be full of people who are different than you. And if people are different than you, they must be BAD PEOPLE! That of course is the Obama way.
