Today's N&O Opinion Page endorsement. (http://www.newsobserver.com/opinion/editorials/story/1269143.html - broken link)

I was a little surprised...

WOW...I voted for McCrory. Now I may have to rethink my vote.

That is interesting. I voted yesterday at Triangle Town Center and must admit that the race for govenor was the one race I really struggled with since ther are certain things I like about both major candidates.

I am looking forward to how things turn out next week!

I was unclear until I saw one of the gubernatorial debates. When asked about the Arts, McCrory said, "I'm not concerned about the Arts in North Carolina." Now, I understand that there are a LOT of issues, but as an artist, I was extremely turned off. So many people think that artists don't have "real" jobs, and Pat McCrory just confirmed that. As far as I'm concerned, so did the N & O.

My choice for NC Gov is "none of the above", but that's not practical. I'll hold my nose and vote for Bev, but this has been one of the toughest to decide in my mind.

Senate between Dole and Haggen isn't much better.

It's been a little over a year since I've lived in NC. I've still been trying to figure it all out. Is N&O usually liberal? Is that why it's surprising?

I'm not loving McCrory or Perdue. Sigh.... Someone pointed out that Easley really hasn't been campaining for Perdue. How much should I read into that? And it seems like Charlotte has it's share of problems like crime. What is McCrory's approval rating as the mayor of Charlotte?

The N&O is not liberal, but the editorial page leans liberal when it comes to endorsements. I was surprised about McCrory as well. I voted for Bev, but not as enthusiastically as some.
