How about just Americans

Don't forget - without choice, we wouldn't be living in a free country. I wish there were more choices. I'm a Democrat and already voted for Obama, but I'd be just like the Republicans who support McCain if I began my own mudslinging.

How about you guys taking the high road and simply not resorting to name-calling? Do you really think it makes you better people when you mock, belittle and assign demeaning monikers to a group of people?

Yeah, that's classy.

You must be a very kind person Nancy, but here's the thing as I see it...Yes these people have every right to their opinion but that isn't where it ends. The "wingnuts" that the op speaks of do not just have an opinion, they want to FORCE their opinion on everyone else. This is the problem I have with them. Like the evangelical christians who believe that if you are not one of them it's their job to either get you to be one of them or tell you how stupid you are for not being one of them. By contrast, non religious people never try to "convert" others to their way of thinking, they really don't care.
We Obama people believe our guy is the best and we may silently think,"***hole" of the other people, but generally we do not go around calling them names and ranting and raving. They are so fanatical and this I believe is who golfgod is refering to.

Right wing nut jobs
Wing nuts
Religious fanatics
Flat earthers
Anti-science
Chronically stupid
Anti intellectual
etc.

I'd like to commission a project right here on C-D to come up with an easy to use shorthand to describe them. Something that can't be misinterpreted as insulting to religious (be kind to others and mind your own f'ng business) people, does not belittle parts of aircraft.

Among some friends last night I heard some suggestions

Palinites
Rushannities
Destroyers of the "real" Republican party
Chronically p***** off
Victims of their own stupidity.

I'm leaning toward Rushannities, but I hate to give any kind of pub to those two morons and their rantings on the radio.

golfgod
Hmm, Victims of their own Stupidity resonates with me

Seems to me liberals want to do the very same thing. Let's see....abortion rights, gay marriage, etc.

Ummm.... "Hello, kettle? This is the pot. I just wanted to call and say you're black."

Interesting. Can you provide me with some links that show where a Christian has called a non-believer stupid for not converting? Seems like I'm always reading messages from atheists, agnostics, and liberals who say it's the Christians who are stupid. Go check out the Atheist/Agnostic forum sometime. Heck, check the Christian forum sometime.....they like to infiltrate that board, too.

I can tell you straight up that's a lie. I have personally listened to liberals who have referred to Republicans as "idiots", and have ranted on and on about them.
