Well then ~ now I see more clearly your imaginary scenario of corporations and jobs. Yes that would leave you high and dry without work, but the product will come in from offshore locations and the services might be performed by immigrants who would work for lower wages.

In my original post http://www.city-data.com/forum/5880248-post2.html the scenario isn’t something that you have to imagine ~ it’s factual with corporations going offshore and government receiving less money and income because they are offshore and the jobs are gone as well. It’s not something that is “imagine” it’s criminal corporations that have occurred already thanks to criminal politicians and CEOs.

NAFTA killed American jobs and manufacturing.

The goverment would give us everything we need and we wouldn't have to go to work.

How could that be a problem for any sane person?

Oh, plenty of us read. In fact, I've read enough that by the time I got around to Ayn Rand, I didn't get the same shiver up my leg that so many do as they encounter the magical world of Galt and such declare the genius of objectivism...
